Tim’s Towing and Recovery received a call from a truck driver in desperate need of a reliable heavy tow company. The tractor was carrying a loaded bulk trailer weighing approximately 50,000 lb when the trailer disconnected from the tractor. While the exact contents of the trailer are unknown, these types of trailers are normally used to transport liquids or grains from silos. 

This was not your simple recovery. When the bulk trailer originally disconnected from the tractor, the nose of the trailer dropped to the ground.Before the trailer could be towed to a repair yard, it needed to be lifted from the ground in order to be connected to the wrecker. Lifting 50,000 lb requires some heavy duty machinery so Tim’s brought in the big guns. 

With the use of a 50 ton wrecker and some very carefully placed recovery straps, the heavy duty tow technicians were able to successfully lift the trailer and attach it to the wrecker for transport. Tim’s Towing and Recovery’s dispatch office received a call from a truck driver looking for a heavy tow company. The heavy tow company dispatched their heavy tow team to the site of the job in Savannah, GA. The heavy tow company’s team arrived at the site of the tractor trailer.

The heavy tow company’s team assessed the situation. A bulk trailer had disconnected from the tractor. The heavy tow company noted that the bulk trailer weighed approximately 50,000lb. The heavy tow company did not know what the exact cargo of the trailer was.
